Let's Talk About It: Cannabis, Alcohol and Today's Youth

Join us for a community program and Q&A with local pediatrician and expert, Dr. Safdar Medina, and a young adult with lived experience. Together, they'll share what adults with teens and tweens in their lives need to know and where to go if they need support.

This program is appropriate for teens and any adult with youth in their lives (parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, employers, etc.). Onsite childcare provided for children preschool age and over with preregistration by February 24th.

Also featuring:

  • The Hidden in Plain Sight exhibit, an interactive, traveling display designed for parents and caregivers, featuring a mock teenager's bedroom to educate them on identifying signs of substance use, risky behavior, and concealed, everyday items indicating danger.

  • Talk Early. Talk Often. resources from Central MA Substance Awareness and Prevention Coalition to assist parents in starting the conversation about substance use.
