We are dedicated to fostering a sense of connectedness and belonging for our Volunteer Team. We host regular meetups and have annual events such as Connect Over Coffees, our Volunteer Kickoff Event, “Not-so-trivial” Volunteer Spring Social, Summer Potluck and our Cheers to Volunteers Celebration.
In 2025, 94 adults and 92 youth volunteered in some capacity for Westborough Connects. Volunteers logged a total of 3,008 hours in 2025, which is the equivalent of more than one full-time employee. In the words of Program Manager Laura Cerniglia:
“Westborough Connects’ programs would not come to life and succeed without the innovative ideas, time commitment, and dedication of our volunteers. As Program Manager, I rely on every member of every program planning team and each volunteer that helps bring our programs to life. Our volunteers are the true power behind making our programs what they are.
The different perspectives that volunteers come in with are crucial in making sure we are listening to the needs of the community and addressing what the community would like to see in our programs. Brainstorming ideas, outreaching to potential partners, sending emails, hanging fliers, greeting people at programs, running portions of programs- there are so many ways volunteers are involved in our programming. From handling necessary small tasks to leading subcommittees, there are countless ways to volunteer for our programs. Every role plays a part in bringing a program successfully to our community.”
Westborough Connects relies on the contributions of community members of all ages. Please enter your name and information below and we will get back to you about getting involved!

Westborough Connects completed certification as a Service Enterprise in 2023 through MA Service Alliance and Points of Light Foundation. The certification and program are now administered by the organization Al!ve. The Service Enterprise certification “strengthens nonprofit capacity through the fundamental and strategic use of volunteers and their skills to address community needs.” In short, we are dedicated to our Volunteer Team and a structured Volunteer Program which is led by our Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, Tracy LaCroix.
